On Saturday, 21st September 2024, Lanark Tennis Club hosted its highly anticipated annual Club Championship event. Players and spectators alike enjoyed a day filled with competitive matches, camaraderie, and memorable moments.

Eram Haider dominated the tournament, securing victories in three categories—Ladies Singles, Ladies Doubles, and Mixed Doubles—earning her the prestigious 'Treble'. This remarkable achievement not only highlights her individual talent but also shines a light on the strength of ladies' tennis at Lanark Tennis Club.
It was also a first final appearance for both Euan MacPherson and Hayden Legowski, who played an integral role in their respective doubles wins. Their performance was commendable, and they are players to watch in the coming seasons.
A special mention goes to Derek Swan, who took home the Gents Plate this year after an already challenging day competing in the Gents Doubles. His perseverance and success deserve recognition.
In addition to the thrilling tennis action, there was a successful bake sale on the day, raising over £230.00 for Papyrus, a charity dedicated to offering support and resources for suicide prevention in youths. A huge thanks to everyone who participated and contributed to this wonderful cause.
